Sawmill Blades

Norwood 1 ¼” x 7/8” Goldline Premium Blades

Norwood Goldline Premium band sawmill blades, made-to-measure specifically for Norwood sawmills, are a premium-quality silicon-steel flex-back blade with induction-hardened teeth. Stronger and more hard-wearing than average carbon alloy blades, silicon-steel is the crucial ingredient to high-performance blades. Silicon-steel gives cleaner, truer cuts and has longer blade life which means lower operating costs. The 7/8” pitch 1 ¼” Goldline Premium blade is an exceptional all-purpose blade ideal for sawing both hard and softwoods. You may find ordinary lower-cost carbon-steel blades elsewhere, but you’ll probably find you get what you pay for. If it’s not silicon-steel, it’s not high-performance. If you’re serious about milling, then you have to be serious about your blades – Professionals count on Norwood GP silicon-steel blades.

Norwood Cobaltized Blades

Norwood Cobaltized sawmill blades are meant for milling tough woods like barn beams, telephone poles, railway ties, and logs riddled with nails. Engineered strong enough to cut through steel nails and stand up to the demands of the pallet industry, Norwood’s 13/16” pitch cobaltized bi-metal blades are made of two steels: the blade back is fatigue-resistant carbon-steel while the tips are tough high-speed steel (a steel alloy containing tungsten, molybdenum, chrome, cobalt and vanadium).

1⅜ x 167 x 13/16” Cobaltized Blade (1⅜” x .042” x 167” x 13/16”) (Sold individually) - Item No. BLDS-CB138

1⅜ x 144 x 13/16” Cobaltized Blade (1⅜” x .042” x 144” x 13/16”) (Sold individually) - Item No. 41475

Norwood 1 ¼” Blueline Blades

Blueline sawmill blades are a lower cost alternative for customers who don't require the premium performance of the silicon-steel GP blades. Accurate and affordable Blueline carbon-steel blades are welded and annealed with fully automated, state-of-the-art machines.

1¼” Blueline Blades (1¼” x .042” x 144” x 7/8”) (Box of 5) - Item No. 41201

IMPORTANT: In all cases, regular and precise sawmill blade maintenance is critical to milling straight, smooth lumber and prolonging blade life. Sharpen your blades at least every couple hours of milling and reset the teeth regularly. Sorry, there is no warranty on consumable items such as belts and blades.
