Tooth Setters
Norwood Standard Tooth Setter
Teeth naturally lose their set over time. This reduces blade efficiency and can cause blade diving or climbing, or produce wavy or scored boards. Check and restore tooth set at least every 3 sharpening for efficient, straight, and smooth milling.
Set your blades to mill perfect lumber with Norwood’s Standard Tooth-Setter. Plunger-style design to accurately and systematically check the set of each tooth before engaging the mechanism to restore the set. Reset an entire blade in less than 15 minutes.
The Norwood Standard Tooth-Setter is factory-configured to set 1¼” and 1½” blades. Precision CNC-machined and zinc-dichromate plated. Comes equipped with a dial indicator and support arms. (

Norwood Industrial Tooth Setter
Norwood’s industrial setter is a compact machine that sets raker-style band blades accurately to .002”. Amazingly efficient, it can fully reset a blade in less than two minutes. Each rotation of the handle indexes the blade forward three teeth and simultaneously sets all three (one left, one right, leaving the raker tooth untouched). There is no need to set both sides individually or advance the blade by hand.
Its easy-adjust mechanisms accommodate different blade widths (½” – 2⅛”) and different tooth pitches (0 – 1⅛”). Precision-made with the latest CNC machines, it’s equipped with long-life sealed bearings and case-hardened cams and pivots.
Quickly determine the amount of set by adjusting the screws in the setting yoke. Each setter is shipped with a free setting gauge, a handy, simple-to-use tool that gives a quick, accurate measurement of set. (
